Medical Facilities and Technology

  • Minimally Invasive Surgery

Minimally invasive surgery is a technique that uses small incisions, causing less tissue damage and enabling faster recovery. This method can be used for treating various conditions such as appendicitis, gallstones, hernias, and colorectal cancer.

  • X-ray

X-ray imaging is used to diagnose various medical conditions by capturing images of the body’s internal organs and structures, such as the skull, spine, arms, legs, lungs, and abdomen.

  • CT Scan (Computed Tomography)

A CT scan utilizes X-rays to examine body organs for abnormalities. The machine sends X-rays through the body, and a computer processes the data to create detailed, three-dimensional images of internal organs.

  • MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)

MRI works by placing the patient in a magnetic field and using radiofrequency waves. The resulting images are processed by a computer to produce high-resolution, 3D images, offering clear differentiation between tissues and aiding in early detection of abnormalities.

  • Electrosurgical Unit (Cauterization)

This device uses electrical currents to generate heat, controlling bleeding, cleaning surgical wounds, and removing abnormal tissue growths like tumors or warts while preventing infection.

  • Mammography and Breast Ultrasound

These are diagnostic tools for breast health, helping in the detection of breast cancer and other abnormalities.

  • Duplex Ultrasound of the Carotid Arteries

This procedure uses ultrasound to examine the large blood vessels in the neck (carotid arteries), helping to identify blockages or other vascular abnormalities.
